JGR Suzuki / Glendale SX
Round 2 of the Monster Energy Supercross series headed to Glendale Arizona where the JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory 250 team would look to improve on thee previous weeks results. The track was really good for racing and incorporated some tricky rhythms and a long whoop section that would seperate some of the riders.
Jimmy Decotis started off the day by qualifying 4th fastest and came out swinging in his heat race by grabbibg the holeshot andd ending up 2nd. After a great start in the main event, Deecotis rode smart and would eventually come home in the 5th postion. "There were good improvements at Glendale. My nike was working reallyy well and I'm comfortable and feelonng fast heading into the triple crown format next weekend in Anaheim." stated Decotis after the race.
Enzo Lopes had a rough night after qualifying inside the toop ten in practice times. Lopes was running in the top five in his heat race before a bike malfunction would sideline him and force him to ride the LCQ. Lopes would take the win and head into the main event. After a mid pack start Enzo was looking to press forward but unfortunately a few crashes would end his night in 21st. Lopes mentioned after the race, "I managed to get a good start from the outside and was running top ten until I crashed after the whoops. I would remount and then go down agian messing up my clutch lever which caused me to call it a night. Thespeed is there, I just need to put it all together."
Next week Anaheim will host the 3rd round of Monster Energy Supercross which will be the first of two triple crown races where each class will race 3 main events during the night.
